Atria focuses on its core business and streamlines its operations in Sweden

Atria Scandinavia will commence a streamlining of its operations and focuses on
the production of value-added products in Sweden. Atria Scandinavia will move
away from the operational area of consumer packed meat and the plant in Årsta,
outside of Stockholm, will be closed. The consumer packed meat business is
running at a loss and it will be closed by the end of October. 49 full and
part-time employees in Årsta are affected by the decision.

Due to the exit of consumer packed meat Atria Scandinavia's annual net sales
will decline by approx. 45 MEUR and annual EBIT will improve by approx. 0.5
MEUR. As a result of the closing of the Årsta plant max. 5 MEUR of non-recurring
costs will be recorded in the result of the year 2010. Approx. 1.5 M€ of the
non-recurring costs have a cash flow effect. In the future Atria Scandinavia
will focus on the production of sausages, cold cuts, convenience food and
delicacies.

Negotiations with the respective trade unions will start immediately.
