Atria improved its ranking in CDP's 2024 Climate Change assessment

Atria has received the highest management level "B" rating for its climate work in the global non-profit organization CDP's annual prestigious Climate Change assessment. The rating increased by one rating from the 2023 evaluation.

– The improvement in our ranking is proof of Atria's planned work and commitment to climate work. We continue to work towards a carbon-neutral food chain both in our own operations and in our value chain, says Merja Leino, Vice President, Corporate Responsibility, Atria Plc.

Atria has been reporting on its sustainability work through CDP since 2019 and has received official approval from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for its emission reduction targets. The targets are based on a scientific calculation method to ensure that companies' targets are in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. They aim to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius globally. In its targets, Atria commits to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 42% by 2030 compared to 2020 levels. The Scope 3 emissions reduction target is 20% per tonne of meat processed by 2030.
